Overview
Billy Elliot The Musical is a comedic adaption of a 2005 movie of the same name, directed by and based on book written by an English screenwriter Lee Hall. Billy Elliot was first presented in London's West End in 2005 and after supreme success an Australian production was presented in 2007 and musical hit Broadway theater in 2007. Billy Elliot got media and public attention due to its heart touching story but its music by legendary musician John Elton and adult language contents also brought the audience to theaters.
Story
Billy Elliot The Musical is the story of an 11 year old boy Billy living in the fictitious town of "Everington" in the real world County Durham, UK, and passionate to become a great Ballet Dancer. However dream of the motherless kid shatters when his father due to community fear forces his son to learn boxing but motivated kid secretly kept learning dance with the help of ballet teacher. His coal mine worker father on discovering his son’s incredible dancing talent supports him in all possible ways and audience sees how a struggling 11 year old boy becomes a household dancing name.
Billy Elliot musical story tells us where there's a Will, there's a way and we see how Billy’s will brings him to a devoted teacher who helps him without any material reward.
